Gi Group buys Swiss job aggregator Jobtome

Gi Group, one of Italy’s largest staffing companies that ranks among the top ten recruitment firms in Europe, has completed the acquisition of Swiss job aggregator Jobtome. The acquisition will support Jobtome’s growth and expansion plans.

JobIndex, the leading Danish recruitment site, has bought two of its competitors. The two sites, Nyboss.dk and Jobsogningsguide.dk,  specialize in creating social media groups for job seekers and employers.

Vettery buys troubled competitor Hired

Hired, a reverse-recruitment service focused on high-demand workers in the tech industry, has been acquired by competitor Vettery for an undisclosed price, the company announced. The acquisition was made via an assignment for the benefit of creditor (ABC) sale.

Adevinta Spain buys JobIsJob

Adevinta Spain has acquired Barcelona-based aggregator and job board JobIsJob.com and its data tool, Job Market Insights. Schibsted and Grupo Intercom were its two main shareholders, according to its website. The financial terms and number of shares purchased were not disclosed.

Sanoma buys Alma’s news business, ponders sales

Sanoma Group has acquired Alma Media’s regional news media business in a deal worth 115 million euros ($125 million U.S.). The company also announced a strategic review of its subsidiary Oikotie Ltd., a leading classified company in Finland, including a possible divestment.

Sberbank buys a job vertical Rabota.ru

In May 2019, the largest Russian bank Sberbank will finalize its acquisition of Rabota.ru, a No.5 job vertical in Russia with almost 10M monthly visitors as on February 2019. This purchase is in line with the bank’s strategy regarding job verticals.
