Jobvite, TMP Make Acquisitions

M&A continues to be red hot in the recruiting space, with two big releases already this week. First up, recruitment ad agency TMP has acquired smaller fish, Campbell, Calif.-based, 18-year-old CKR Interactive. This deal is akin to Shaker acquiring The Arland Group last year, and it’s safe to say further consolidation like this will continue. Said Curtis Rogers, CEO of CKR Interactive, “When two very like-minded entities come together, the results can only mean better outcomes for both our clients and employees.” The company will continue to operate as CKR Interactive. The bigger news, however, was dropped by ATS solution Jobvite, who announced they took a $200 million dollar investment from K1 Capital and had acquired Talemetry, a recruitment marketing company, RolePoint, an employee referral solution, and Canvas, a text recruiting and messaging application as part of their strategy to be a one-stop shop for talent. Prbably spurred by increased competition from the likes of Google and Microsoft, and even Indeed, ZipRecruiter and iCIMS, Jobvite is definitely swinging for the fences with this move. Said Jobvite CEO Dan Finnigan, ““Our focus is to help leading companies win top talent and build the best teams with an award-winning candidate experience. K1 provides unparalleled SaaS expertise and vast resources that, in combination with these four trailblazing companies, will offer our customers the most comprehensive solutions, knowledge, and services available in the market.”
