There’s a saying, ‘data makes its own gravy.’ Using data creates data about usage. Data has a funny property. It wants to make more data. Interestingly, the meta data created by data is often more useful that the data itself. This is the heart of the data collection involved in Organizational Network Analysis (ONA).

 

The categorization of data types and attributes is still in the early stages. What’s clear is that the array of questions we can profitably ask and answer is beginning to become more interesting.
