Indeed has a shiny new chief marketing officer. Jessica Jensen, a former executive at Yahoo, Apple and Facebook has taken the reigns at the world’s No. 1 employment web site in terms of traffic and revenue. She’ll report to CEO Chris Hyam, who said, “Jessica brings incredible experience and new perspective to Indeed, and at the same time has a huge respect for everything we have built.”
Jensen fill a void left when past SVP and head of global marketing Paul D’Arcy left in September after nearly 8 years on the job. In addition to her work at Yahoo, Facebook and Apple, Jensen worked at Booking.com, where she led marketing efforts for restaurant-reservation platform OpenTable and the travel website Kayak.
In a release, Jensen said, “My vision is that Indeed is known more broadly and deeply for the incredible service we provide to job seekers and hiring managers alike, and Indeed is the best place for businesses and employees to connect and thrive.” Yup, sounds like a CMO. By the way, no word yet on whether or not Matthew Cohen, Director of Global Brand and Advertising at Indeed will continue making ads globally at Indeed.com.
