Court rules CareerBuilder didn’t violate copyright

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit has affirmed a lower court ruling that CareerBuilder had no agreement to pay design firm LimeCoral renewal fees for graphics created for CareerBuilder’s premium job postings. CareerBuilder and LimeCoral had a relationship that spanned more than six years, in which CareerBuilder paid the design firm for more than 2,000 graphics. At issue was the implied copyright license.
